Project Manager (Remote)

JOB TITLE:   Project Manager  

REPORTS TO:  Director

TYPE: Full-time, permanent (40 hours/week)

 Project Management 

  • Assemble project teams in coordination with the corresponding Director.
  • Develop and maintain multiple project plans, schedules and budgets. Ensure projects stay on time and on budget.
  • Work collaboratively with strategic lead to define project requirements, create project plan, and build it in our projectmanagement platform.
  • Manage project documentation throughout all states of the project (ex. estimates, contracts, change orders)
  • Ensure issues and risks are anticipated and find solutions to mitigate or escalate to resolve.
  • Work with project administrator to manage administrative aspects of projects, such as setting up jobs, logging project time, running reports.
  • Review final project reporting to determine project performance.
  • Work with project admin to archive final project files.
  • Prepare client presentations, kick off decks, status update meeting, etc…
  • Facilitate client meetings.

Team Leadership 

  • In collaboration with senior strategic lead (or Director, as applicable), brief assigned team members on projects and leadkick-off meeting to assign roles and responsibilities, discuss timeline and budget.
  • Hold regular team meetings to stay current on project status, issues, risks.
  • Lead post-mortem team meetings to review project performance, identify areas of success and areas of improvement.
  • Hold periodic meetings with Directors to discuss team performance on projects, make recommendations forimprovements in the future.

Client Contact 

  • Act as the primary client contact on projects.
  • Hold regular status meetings with clients, involving other team members as appropriate.
  • Manage client issues, including scope creep, and facilitate conversations to resolve.
  • Act as point of contact for project deliverables and documents, manage delivery of drafts and feedback between clientand team.
  • 4+ years of experience working at a consulting/marketing agency in a project management role.
  • Formal project management training preferred.
  • Being Indigenous and/or significant experience working with Indigenous organizations/projects would be preferred
  • Extensive understanding of the project management lifecycle for creative agency projects.
  • A creative problem solver who is driven to provide solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; consistent demonstration of diplomacy, decisiveness and problem solving.
  • Able to work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with and managing clients.
  • Genuinely interested in the success of our clients and facilitating that success by bringing best practices and client-centredservice to interactions and projects.
  • Comfortable working with little supervision, and able to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Process driven with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Likes to have fun and work as part of an energetic and enthusiastic team
