Junior Consultant – ESG, Sustainability and Reconciliation Action Plans

Reports To: Haleigh King, Director – ESG, Sustainability and Reconciliation Action Plans

Type: PAID Summer Employment - 40 hours/week, temporary hourly position, approximately 16-week term – May to August 2023.

Location: We are a fully virtual team that is spread across Canada. We welcome talent from across the country.

Proposal Coordination
• Researching and assessing proposal opportunities
• Development of proposal content
• Management of proposal development

Project Delivery and Engagement
• Creating project kick off and presentation materials
• Conducting current state assessments and peer research for client deliverables
• Creating engagement facilitation materials and online surveys
• Capturing and summarizing insights from engagement sessions

Project Management
• Leveraging project management tools to keep team on track with project schedules and deadlines
• Creating and managing Sharepoint sites and folders
• Creating client status update decks and conversation summaries
• Supporting capacity planning for upcoming projects

Research and Innovation
• Completing environmental scans of Reconciliation, ESG, and Sustainability news and trends
• Completing environmental scans of leading Reconciliation, ESG, and Sustainability practices and methodologies
• Drafting through leadership articles based on research outcomes
• Creating templates and tools to increase operational efficiency
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and partnerships

Summer Project
• Leading discovery process to identify team pain points
• Creating and executing approach to address pain point
• Presenting a solution to team at end of summer


• Currently enrolled in a University or College program
• Experience working with Indigenous Nations or businesses is an asset
• Creative and solution-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience working as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Forward thinking and in touch with current trends
