Cristi Adams

Project & Engagement Manager

When Cristi started her career in the energy space, there were far less Indigenous peoples in management positions than there are today (which is still not nearly enough). While taking on progressively senior positions at TC Energy, starting as a program lead and eventually project managing complex technical operations, pipeline construction and Lobbying programs, Cristi earned her highly valued PgMP certification through the Project Management Institute, one of less than 3,500 certification holders worldwide.

Cristi’s dedication to community work, especially in the area of Indigenous engagement, has led her to leadership volunteer positions as an appointed advisor to the City of Calgary as Chair of the Calgary Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee, former Board of Director for the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary, and existing Board of Director for both the Indigenous Gathering Place and Trellis. She has spent her life working towards Reconciliation and Indigenous mentorship in her spare time.

At Creative Fire, Cristi is able to bridge her passion for Indigenous relations with her extensive background in project management and improving processes. A member of Lake Babine Nation, Cristi’s goal is to mentor and develop more Indigenous project managers so Indigenous peoples can play an active role in the processes and policies that impact them, especially in the energy space. It’s one more important way economic reconciliation can take shape.
